Documentation
Definition
Specifies whether transportation planning has been completed. If this indicator has been set for a shipment, no further deliveries can be added to or removed from the document.
Also, certain changes and functions can no longer be carried out if they concern planning of the shipment, for example, shipping type, stages, itineraries.
Use
By setting this status, you trigger the following activities:
- Copying the route from the deliveries
If the indicator for copying the route is set in the shipment type, and the same route is given for all deliveries in the shipment and the route in the shipment header still has the initial value, this route is copied into the shipment header. The corresponding route legs are proposed as shipment legs.
- Determining shipment legs
Shipment legs are created automatically on the basis of the deliveries in the shipment as in the 'Leg determination' function when processing the shipment stages.
- Copying the forwarding agent from the delivery
If, in the shipment type, you have set the indicator for copying the forwarding agent, and the same forwarding agent is set in all deliveries of the shipment and the forwarding agent in the shipment header has the initial value, this forwarding agent is copied as the transportation service agent.
- Copying the shipping type from the deliveries
If, in the shipment type, you have set the copying of the shipping type, and the same shipping type is set in all the delvieries of this shipment and the shipping type has the initial value, this is copied as the shipping type into the shipment header.
- Copying special processing type from the deliveries
If, in the shipment type, you have set the copy indicator for special processing, and in all the deliveries of this shipment the same special processing is set and the special processing indicator in the shipment header has the initial value, this is copied into the shipment header.
- Copying the means-of-transport type from the deliveries
If, in the shipment type, you have set the indicator for copying the means-of-transport type, and in all the deliveries of the shipment the same means-of-transport type is set and the means-of-transport type in the shipment header has the initial value, this is copied as the means-of-transport type into the shipment header.
- Determining distance
The distances, waiting time, and the effective duration stored in the legs are accumulated and placed in the fields in the shipment header, provided the fields in the shipment header have the initial value. if not all the fields have the initial value in the shipment header, a dialog box appears. Here you can request the system to determine the duration and the distance from the stages. If your reply is "YES", the system determines the duration and distance from the stages. If your reply is "NO", the duration and distance in the shipment header are changed.
Copying the delivery dates
If this indicator is set in the shipment type, the dates from the deliveries are copied into the shipment. The following rules apply:
The earliest loading date from the deliveries in the shipment is copied to the dates for "Check-in", "Loading start", and "Shipment start" in the shipment. The latest goods issue date from the deliveries in the shipment is copied into the dates for "Check-in" and "Loading start" in the shipment.
The latest delivery date from the deliveries in the shipment is copied into the date for "Shipment end" in the shipment.
If the date for "Loading start" determined using the above rules is after the date for "Loading end", the dates "Loading start" and "Loading end" are not copied from the deliveries. Instead, the system issues a message. This applies for the data copy for "Shipment start" and "Shipment end". The data copying for "shipment end" is only relevant for shipments with the indicator for preliminary leg or direct leg.
Procedure
Set the status or enter the data and, if necessary, the time. If you only wish to set the status, the system sets the date and status of the current date. Functions for setting the status "Planned" in the shipment.
