Definition

The tender status describes the current status of a shipment with respect to the negotiations with a forwarding agent through the Internet. The tender status can have the following values:

  1. The shipment was not offerred to any forwarding agent.
  2. The shipment was offerred to the forwarding agent in the shipment header.
  3. The forwarding agent has agree to execute the shipment.
  4. The forwarding agent has agreed to execute the shipment, but has set conditions or has changed the conditions set by the shipper (for example, two small means of transport instead of one large means of transport).
  5. The shipper has refused execution of the shipment
  6. The shipper has confirmed acceptance of shipment by the forwarding agent; negotiations are therefore closed.
  7. The forwarding agent confirms exception - means that shipment cannot be executed, or at least not according to conditions agreed (for example , means of transport not available because of accident)

Certain conditions are defined for setting each individual tender status. Generally, a status can only be set if a forwarding agent is defined in the shipment at header level and if stages are also defined.

Statuses 1,2, and 6 can only be set by the shipper during shipment processing. Statuses 3, 4, 5, and 7 can only be set by the forwarding agent during the Internet transaction. . Also, the following limitations apply for setting the status:

  • Statuses 3, 4, 5: Shipment must be offerred by the shipper (status 1).
  • Status 6: Shipment must already be accepted by the forwarding agent (with or without condition).
  • Status 7: Shipment must be confirmed by the shipper.
