Documentation
Definition
Amount by which the specification limit is temporarily increased or decreased.
Use
You can increase or reduce the tolerance range for a specific time period. You can make these short-term changes to the tolerance range without having to change the original specification limits.
Procedure
- If you enter a POSITIVE value, the upper specification limit is changed to a LARGER value.
- If you enter a NEGATIVE value, the upper specification limit is changed to a SMALLER value.
Dependencies
If you have altered the tolerance range by changing either the upper or the lower specification limit, you must also define the time period for which the change is valid. This means you must enter both a start date as well as an end date for the time period.
