Use
On the basis of the inspection results for a sample, the system estimates the following statistics according to the predefined procedure:
- share of nonconforming units
- share below the tolerance range
- share above the tolerance range

Use
According to the procedure specified, the following statistics are calculated from the results recording for a sample:
- Share of nonconforming units
- Share below the tolerance limit
- Share above the tolerance limit
The control indicator for the characteristic regulates which of the procedures defined in Customizing can be used. The following procedures are available with the standard system:
- Normal distribution (Prerequisite: Control indicator "Inspect target value", "Upper specification limit", "Lower specification limit")
- Poisson distribution (Prerequisite: Control indicator "Confirmation of the number of defects")
- Binomial distribution (No prerequisites)
