Definition

Lower limiting value for the actual value of an inspection characteristic.

Use

The actual value for an inspection characteristic can be one of the following values, depending on the recording form:

  • Mean value of summarized measured values
  • Single measured value
  • Class size for a value class

Individual measured values that lie below this specification limit, or value classes whose class limits are below this specification limit, are valuated as "not OK" or "R" (rejected).

Mean values that lie below this specification limit are also valuated as "not OK," provided that the valuation of the inspection characteristic or sample is planned on the basis of specification limits.

Supplementary Documentation - QTOLUNC 0001

Use

Using this value, the lower specification limit is calculated for a target value in the inspection characteristic.

Procedure

Enter the value. You have the following options:

If you enter a negative value with the sign "-", this is subtracted from the nominal value.

If you enter a positive value (no sign), this is added to the nominal value.

Procedure

You can enter either an absolute value or a relative value based on a target value.
To enter a relative value, proceed as follows:

  1. Enter a target value.
  2. In the field for the specification limit, enter an * followed by a relative value.

Once you have chosen CONTINUE, the system calculates and displays the specification limit as an absolute value.

Dependencies

You define the precision of this field (number of decimal places) in the corresponding field.
