Use

If this indicator is set, inspection characteristics and/or samples in the QM system can be closed via the QM IDI interface.
In doing so the system checks, if the conditions set for processing the characteristic or sample were fulfilled. In general, all required and all optional characteristics that were processed need to be closed before the usage decision can be made for an inspection lot.

Dependencies

Before closing a characteristic the system checks if

• the required inspection scope was adhered to
• an inspection description was recorded for characteristics requiring documentation

When closing an unvaluated characteristic, the system automatically carries out the valuation.
