Definition
The date used to read data from the dangerous goods master so that dangerous goods checks can be made and dangerous goods papers created.
Use
The following applies for :
When you create a delivery, the date entered in the date field is the date that you specified in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management.
If you have not entered the document date set in Customizing, the system enters today's date as the selection date (date the dangerous goods master is read).
When a delivery is processed, the date is updated only if you changed the corresponding document date or the setting in Dangerous Goods Management Customizing.

The selection date (date the dangerous goods master is read) is determined during dangerous goods checks and stored in the transport header. When a transport is checked, the date is updated only if you changed the corresponding document date or the setting in Dangerous Goods Management Customizing.

The date set in Dangerous Goods Management Customizing is entered as the default in the date field when a sales document is created.
If the document date set in Customizing is not entered in the date field, today's date is entered as the default selection date. When a sales document is processed, the date is updated only if you changed the corresponding document date or the setting in Customizing.
Procedure
Check whether the required selection date for reading the dangerous goods master is entered.
Dependencies
Selection dates are initialized and updated only if you have maintained the IMG activity Activate Dangerous Goods Checks.
