Definition

Use

If you set this indicator, it causes the characteristic to be treated as a quantitative characteristic. You thereby define the control indicators that are relevant for the inspection characteristic. A quantitative characteristic is subject to measurement inspections. You can define tolerance limits and a target value for a quantitative characteristic.

Procedure

Set the indicator for the characteristic type (quantitative or qualitative) or enter a control key.

If you used a control key, for which the "fixed" indicator is set in Customizing, you cannot change the indicator for the characteristic type. In addition, you cannot delete this indicator or enter another control key.
