Definition
The bulk shipment type (among various different types: pipeline, truck, ship, etc.).
Use
The bulk shipment type that you enter determines the processing of the shipment through scheduling, loading and delivery confirmation.
Example
Using the bulk shipment type, it is possible to determine the means of transport: road, sea, air, etc. for the shipment. Additionally, it is possible to define the shipment unit of measure (UoM). All shipment quantities are converted to the shipment UoM, which is the UoM used to display planning quantities during scheduling.
