Definition

The carrier is the operator of a Transport System (TS) and charges the shipper for use of the TS. The carrier is defined as a vendor in the Purchasing Master Data Record, and then must be defined as a carrier in the Partner Role master data transaction in TSW, before the carrier can be assigned to a TS.

Use

The use of a transport system for shipments is scheduled by the carrier of the TS.
