Definition
Specifies how the requirements date of a component is relatedto the dates of an operation/activity.
- For components with a positive requirements quantity:
- If the indicator is set, the requirements date is the latest start date of the operation/activity.
- If the indicator is not set, the requirements date is the earliest start date of the operation/activity.
- For components with a negative requirements quantity:
- If the indicator is set, the requirements date is the latest finish date of the operation/activity.
- If the indicator is not set, the requirements date is the earliest finish date of the operation/activity.
A negative requirements quantity means that the material is produced in the operation/activity.

Definition
Stipulates where the requirements date of a component should lie in the schedule planning of an activity.
Set the indicator for
- Components with a positive requirements quantity if the requirements date is the latest schedule date of the activity. If you do not set the indicator, the requirements date is the earliest scheduled date of the activity.
- Components with a negative requirements quantity if the requirements date is the latest finish date of the activity. you do not set the indicator, the requirements date is the earliest finish date of the activity.
A negative requirements quantity is entered for a material that is produced.
