Definition

Shortest time needed between the current operation and the next one for the move from one work center (location group) to another.

Use

When the lead times are reduced in scheduling, the standard move time can be reduced to this time.

If you have set up an overlap for an operation, the system uses the minimum move time for scheduling.

If you have not entered either the normal move time or the minimum move time, the system takes the move times for scheduling from the move time matrix. You can maintain the move time matrix in Customizing for work centers.

Hinweis

In operations you can only enter the move time in calendar days. In the move time matrix you have more options for the calendar and the unit of time.
