Definition
You use this indicator to define whether totalled dependent requirement records are allowed for the components of the assembly which is controlled with this repetitive manufacturing profile.
By using totals records for dependent requirements, you can significantly increase system performance when planning bills of material with high numbers of components.
In this procedure, the system does not create a dependent requirement per pegged requirement in the planning run. Instead, it cumulates all the requirements of all the pegged requirements in one day and records one totals record.
Dependencies
The system creates total dependent requirements for all components for which you have set the individual/collective indicator in the material master record so that only totalled requirements are created.
For the following components with the above setting, the system also creates individual records as well as the totalled records:
- Components for which the availability check has been allowed in the material master record, in the availability check field.
- Components for which you specified in the material master record that individual records are also to be recorded. You do this in the Requirements grouping field.
The system does not create total dependent requirements for components for which the individual/collective indicator in the material master record is set so that individual requirements are created.
