Definition
If the "Credit memo with value date" field is selected, the reference document is not balanced, and if the baseline date for payment in the reference document falls after the posting date of the credit memo, the baseline date for payment in the reference document is entered in the "Value date" field in the credit memo. An invoice reference to the posting document for the reference document is also created in the credit memo document.
However, if the baseline date for payment in the reference document falls before the current posting date of the credit memo, no data is copied from the reference document.
Notes
If no reference document exists for credit memos, the invoice reference is created by the value "V". As a result, the method for determining the due date is the same as that for an invoice. Credit memos without an invoice reference are payable on the baseline date for payment with cash discount percent 1.
