Documentation
Definition
You can use the process category to categorize the documents for different processes in Agency Business (for example, pooled payment or contract settlement). The process category can be used for selection and execution of custom enhancements; in BAdIs, for example.
It does not have a function in the standard system, and is only intended for use by customers.
Use
The process category is automatically set during document creation, using the Customizing of the billing type. If no process category is assigned in the billing type, it is set in payment documents, using the Customizing of the payment type.
During the creation of follow-on documents (for example, remuneration lists) and creation with reference, the process category is set using the Customizing of the new billing type and, when necessary, the payment type, if a process category is assigned there. If not, it is transferred from the preceding document.
Dependencies
Example
If a process category is assigned only in the payment type, this is set during document creation, and transferred to all follow-on documents.
