Documentation
Definition
Value of the standard value (for example, setup or labor).
Dependencies
The value of the standard value that you define in Customizing for the work center under Define formula parameters for work centersis used by the system just for checking formulas, unless the formula parameters have the origin 7.
The system uses the standard value to conduct syntax checks for formulas. It is patrticularly advisable to maintain standard values for formula parameters that appear as divisors in formulas.
For formula parameters with origin 7 (general formula constants) the value assignment is in Define formula parameters for work centers. Formula parameters with other origins acquire their values elsewhere, for instance, in the operation.
Supplementary Documentation - VGWRT 0001
Use
You define the standard values "requirement", "setup" and "teardown" in rate routings and reference rate routings.
The system calculates the production rate using the requirements and the base quantity. The production rate is the quotient of the base quantity and requirements (for example, 2400 pieces per shift).

Definition
Planned value for the activity to be performed for an operation, phase, or secondary resource (for example, processing time or energy).
Use
In the resource formulas, you can refer to standard values. In this way, the standard values of internally processed phases and secondary resources are used as a basis for calculating dates, capacity requirements, and costs.
Standard values for operations are maintained for information purposes only. The system does not compare the standard values of an operation with those of the subordinate phases.
Dependencies
The following settings in the master record of the corresponding primary or secondary resource influence standard value maintenance:
- The standard value key, which specifies the standard values that can be maintained for the relevant operations, phases, and secondary resources
- The rule for maintenance, which specifies whether a standard value must be maintained
This is only taken into account for phases and secondary resources but is ignored for operations.
For quantity-dependent standard values, you must also maintain the base quantity of the material to be produced to which these values refer. The system can then also take this quantity into account in the resource formulas.

Definition
Unit of measurement of the standard value
Use
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
The system proposes the unit of measurement according to the definitions made in the primary or secondary resource. You can change the standard values in the recipe, provided that they have not been marked as references in the resource master record.
