Documentation
Definition
Determines the method by which the manually entered results analysis data is included in automatic results analysis.
Use
You use this indicator to determine how the results analysis data that was entered manually affects automatic results analysis if the Legacy data transfer indicator is not turned on in the Extended Control of the results analysis version.
- If you set the indicator to E (manual change), the manually entered values are used to correct the results analysis data calculated automatically.
The next time results analysis is performed, the manually changed values that appear in the closed periods are cancelled automatically.
The manually changed values that appear in the open periods do not affect automatic results analysis.
This means that when the indicator is set to E, the manually changed value was only included in the period in which it was created in the system. In the subsequent period, it is only displayed as long as the previous period is not closed. Once the previous period is closed, the manual value is added to the automatically calculated results analysis data of the previous period. The manually changed value no longer appears in the subsequent period.
- If you set the indicator to Z (manual addition), the manually added values do not affect automatic results analysis.
This means that when the indicator is set to Z, the manually set value is always set in the subsequent period. The manual change is therefore included in all subsequent periods.
Procedure
Examples
In period 1, capitalized costs of USD 500 are calculated. You change this amount by an estimated amount of USD 10.
In period 2, capitalized costs of USD 600 are calculated. The following table shows which total values are displayed with the different methods:
Period Automatic Manual Total "E" Total "Z"
1 500 10 510 510
2(1st open) 600 10 610 610
2(1st clsd) 600 10 600 610
Dependencies
If the Legacy data transfer indicator is turned on in the Extended Control of the results analysis version, the manually entered data are treated by the system as if it had been calculated automatically.
The Only periodic indicator determines whether manual changes are only allowed in the periodic display of results analysis.
