Documentation
Definition
Specifies how the production dates are determined.
- If the indicator has been set and a valid routing exists, lead time scheduling is carried out. The production dates are calculated from the floats in the scheduling margin key of the material master and the individual operation times in the routing.
If the CapReqmnts indicator has also been set, capacity requirements are generated for the operations. The dates for the capacity requirements are the operation dates.
- If the indicator has not been set, lead time scheduling is not carried out. The order basic dates are determined from the in-house production time in the material master and used as production dates.
If the CapReqmnts indicator has also been set, capacity requirements are generated for the operations. The dates for the capacity requirements are the operation dates.
In detailed scheduling you can choose between differnt scheduling types. In rate-based scheduling and rough-cut scheduling backward scheduling is used.
Supplementary Documentation - TERMX 0001
Dependencies
If you set the scheduling based on takts indicator, scheduling based on takts in Sequencing determines the planned order dates:
- Dates that have been determined by lead time scheduling are not overwritten by scheduling based on takts.
- The basic dates for planned orders that are determined in scheduling based on takts are not adjusted in lead time scheduling or finite scheduling. The stem automatically makes the requisite settings in the date adjustment screen section.

Use
Dependencies
Production orders and process orders are scheduled at a detailed plning level using the routing or master recipe. Therefore the Scheduling indicator is set automatically and cannot be changed.
