The transaction activity category determines:
- how the particular activity is interpreted and processed by the system
- which transitions to activities in other activity categories are possible.

Use
The transaction activity category is relevant for product types relating to forex, money market, derivatives and securities.
The best way to find out which entries are allowed is to call up the view V_VORGTYP using transaction SM30. Do not make any changes to this view, as this would lead to errors.
You must enter transaction activity category '0' on a line for the product types in securities so that interest, dividends, etc. are updated in cash management and forecast. This line is generated if the transaction activity category field remains empty/a default value is overwritten with a blank character when you are maintaining the view.

Use
The financial transaction activity category is relevant for product types belonging to the Money Market, Foreign Exchange, Derivatives and Securities areas.
You can best determine which entries are permissible with transaction SM30. This transaction calls the view V_VORGTYP. Do not make any changes in the view, as this will lead to errors in the system.
For securities product types, you must enter a line with financial transaction activity category '0' in order that interest, dividends, and so on, are updated in cash management and forecast. This line is generated by the system if you make no entry or delete the default value in the financial transaction activity category field when maintaining the view.
