Definition

This indicator determines how opening stock is to be calculated.

The following options exist:

  • no opening stock

    Simulative planning starts with no opening stock.

  • plant stock at the time of planning

    The system reads the current plant stock that is valid at the time of the simulative planning run.

  • opening stock equal to safety stock

    The system reads the safety stock that is entered in the material master record.

  • average plant stock from material master record

    The average plant stock can be calculated using the function, Long-term planning -> Opening stock. Before this is possible you require a stock statistc in the info system of inventory management.
