Definition

Indicator that determines how and whether agency documents should be locked during a program run:

  • Single document lock:
    Agency documents are locked individually in processing. Documents that cannot be locked are not processed (error message). If documents could not be locked during package processing, the system terminates processing of the package and issues an error message.
    Note: When processing large numbers of documents for an LUW (for example, in posting or remuneration list creation) this option can lead to a huge number of errors and therefore cause an overflow in the lock table.
  • Process lock:
    • No lock:
      Agency documents are not locked.
      Note: Only select this option if agency documents were locked with an appropriate locking mechanism (for example, posting list creation with report RWLF2010 is started in parallel in several processes using a dispatcher program for different payers. This locks all agency documents).
    • Lock all documents
      While the program is running, all agency documents are locked together and cannot be changed. Neither is it possible to enter any new documents.
