Definition

The target stock is the dynamic safety stock. You can influence the calculation of the dynamic safety stock by setting the maximum and minimum range of coverage or by setting the intervals for when the ranges of coverage are valid. The target stock (dynamic safety stock) is included in the MRP of the order proposal quantity.

The target stock is calculated according to the following formula: average daily requirements quantity * target stock.

Dependencies

You can set the parameters for calculating the target stock in Customizing for MRP in the range of coverage profile. You can assign the range of coverage profile to a material in the material master record.
