Definition
This indicator enables you to stipulate that the object concerned is not allowed to be used in other functions.
Supplementary Documentation - RI_SPERR 0001
Use
The blocking indicator enables you to separate administrative and clinical diagnoses.
Diagnoses for which the blocking indicator is set are clinical diagnoses. If you set the blocking indicator, you block the diagnoses for administrative use (IS-H).
When you create diagnoses in i.s.h.med diagnosis processing, the blocking indicator is only set by default if the diagnosis is a classified working diagnosis or a preoperative diagnosis (without further classification). The diagnosis is initially blocked for administrative purposes. If you characterize the diagnosis as a department main diagnosis or a hospital main diagnosis, the blocking indicator is canceled and the diagnosis becomes available for administrative use.
By setting the user parameter DKZ ("X"), you stipulate that the blocking indicator is also to be automatically set if the diagnosis is classified as an admission diagnosis, discharge diagnosis, surgery diagnosis, department main diagnosis, hospital main diagnosis, or a cause-of-death diagnosis.
If you cancel the blocking indicator for the main department diagnosis or the hospital main diagnosis, this does not result in the indicator being automatically canceled for the diagnosis. You must cancel the blocking indicator manually.
