Definition

The remaining rights are the number of existing subscription rights, that do not suffice to purchase another new stock when exercising subscription rights.

Examples

The subscription ratio is 3:1
The stockholder has 50 stocks

The stockholder can acquire 16 new stocks at their subscription price by exercising his subscription rights. Two subscription rights are left over. The stockholder now has the option to sell these 2 subscription rights or to purchase the missing subscription right to acquire the 17th new stock.
