Definition

Defining object used in the new authorization concept in the Overhead Cost Controlling component (CO-OM), allowing you to define authorizations based on an organizational hierarchy.

The authorization check does not distinguish by objects, but rather by a responsibility area which includes all subordinate objects such as cost centers, orders, profit centers, and business processes combined in a standard hierarchy. The nodes of the standard hierarchy are themselves responsibility areas.
