Definition
Specifies the time period during which the budget is available.
Use
During the budget period, the budget can be used without any restrictions. Outside of this time period, you are only allowed to close business processes, but you are not allowed to apply any new budget amounts.
Dependencies
The budget period is always used together with the account assignment element Fund of Funds Management.
Example
If you have the two budget periods, budget period A: 2000-2010 and budget period B: 2005-2015, then budget use is updated with the budget period as follows:
- Budget period fund F 1: A
- Budget period fund F 2: A
- Budget period fund F 2: B
