Definition

Specifies that the period totals view is always activated when you access the MRP list and the stock/requirements list.

The elements are then grouped together in the display and are not displayed individually.

Use

In the period totals display, there is always a tab page for each period value, which means one each for the daily display, the weekly display, and so on. Which tab page is displayed in the foreground when you access the period totals display depends on which period value you predefine.

The period values Posting period, Planning calendar and Individual split are only available when the appropriate settings are maintained in Customizing.

When you want to predefine the period values Planning calendar or Individual split, certain standard settings in Customizing determine which planning calendar or which individual split is activated. You select these standard settings in Customizing for MRP, or for Consumption-Based Planning, in the activity Define Period Display for Period Totals. You can overwrite these standard settings by choosing different values.
