Use
The master inspection characteristic that is being inspected must be linked to a class characteristic:
- If the results of the quality inspection are to be transferred to the batch classification
- If specifications from the variant configuration are to be included in the inspection
- If specifications from the batch determination are to be included in the inspection
- If inspection results are to be transferred to the measuring points for equipment or functional locations
Procedure
Enter a class characteristic in the master inspection characteristic, if you want to link the master inspection characteristic and the class characteristic.
Dependencies
The class characteristic must exist in the batch class for the material, if the results of the quality inspection are to be transferred to the batch classification.
If the specifications from the variant configuration are to be included in the inspection, the class characteristic must exist in the variant class for the material.
If specifications from batch determination are to be included in the inspection, the batch class that is used when the batch is determined must contain the class characteristic.
If inspection results are to be transferred to the measuring points for equipment or functional locations, the measuring point must also have been created with reference to this class characteristic.

Use
The master inspection characteristic that is being inspected here must be linked to a class characteristic, if the results of the quality inspection are to be transferred to the batch classification.
Procedure
Enter a class characteristic, if you want to link the class and the master inspection characteristic.
The field is only ready for input, if the following conditions are met:
- You are in the change transaction for the master inspection characteristic
- The master inspection characteristic is not used in any material specification
Dependencies
The class characteristic must be contained in the batch class of the material.
