Definition

Name of a print ticket
Since print tickets can be transferred between Unicode- and Non-Unicode systems (e.g. by transporting a printer), please use only the following characters when naming a print ticket:
Upper case Latin characters A-Z
Numeric digits 0-9
Alphanumeric characters + - / _

Use

For printers which support additional print options, it is possible to create print tickets. A print ticket is a collection of print option settings (for example: "print from input tray #1") for a printer which is saved under a name chosen by the user.

When an application program creates a print job for that printer and passes the name of the print ticket to the spooler, the document is printed using the option settings specified in the print ticket.
