Documentation

Definition

The replenishment strategy defines how procurement in in-house production is to be carried out.

You use the replenishment strategy to define the following, for example:

  • Whether replenishment is only triggered by kanbans or whether a procurement element is created
  • Which movement type is used to post the goods receipt

Dependencies

The replenishment strategies are defined in Customizing for KANBAN. You then assign the appropriate replenishment strategy to the control cycle.

Supplementary Documentation - PKSTE 0001

Use

The replenishment strategy is defined by the following control parameters:

  • the control type determines the replenishment and control elements used to control in-house production
  • the order type for replenishment using production orders
  • the bar code lock used to define a "lock period" after going over the bar code
  • the movement type for goods receipt in in-house production
  • and the form for printing the kanban
