Definition
Tax exemption - F2 factor
Alimony or maintenance payments required by a court order to be deducted at source from the employee's salary for the pay period.
A request is not required from a Tax Services Office or Tax Centre when an employer receives a court order to deduct such payments at source from an employee's salary.
In situation where a court order indicates that the payment to be paid cannot exceed a certain percentage of the employee's net salary (net salary is the amount defined by the court) F2 is then the amount deducted and remitted to the court.
