Definition
The weight of the vehicle before any products are loaded.
Use
The unladen weight of the vehicle is defined in the vehicle master data. It is calculated as the sum of the unladen weights of the constituent transport units.
This weight may include the unladen weight of the vehicle + fuel + driver + other components contributing to the weight of the vehicle before any products are loaded.
The unladen weight is added to the weight of the loaded products to provide the actual weight for the vehicle. This weight is then used as the basis of the calculation to determine whether the vehicle is overloaded.
