Documentation
Definition
The shift is used in Transportation and Distribution to subdivide the day into time zones. The time zones chosen can be user-defined in Customizing and are stored in the Shift Rota Table.
A driver may also be assigned to a specific shift by maintaining the driver shift rota in the driver master data transaction. However, no checks take place to ensure the shift for a given shipment are compatible with the assigned shift rota of a driver when a driver is assigned to the vehicle during scheduling.
