Documentation
Definition
The maximum stock level is the upper limit of the dynamic safety stock level with regard to quantity. If the maximum stock level is exceeded then the system calculates the dynamic safety stock level using the target range of coverage. The dynamic safety stock level is also taken into account in MRP for order proposals.
The system calculates the maximum stock level for the period using the following formula: average daily requirements * maximum range of coverage
Dependencies
You can set the parameters for calculating the maximum stock level in Customizing for MRP in the range of coverage profile. The range of coverage profile is assigned to a material in the material master record.
