Definition
Target quantities are the planned quantities that have been adjusted to the control quantities.
- In Overhead Cost Controlling the basis of comparison is the actual activity quantity. The variable planned quantities are adjusted to the actual quantities by multiplying them by the operating rate.
- In Cost Object Controlling the basis of comparison is usually the yield. The planned quantities that vary with the lot size are adjusted to the actual quantities by multiplying them by the actual quantity divided by the planned quantity.
On the input side, the target quantity is the target input quantity.
