Definition
Target quantities are the planned quantities that have been adjusted to the control quantity.
- In Overhead Cost Controlling, the basis for comparison is the actual activity quantity. The planned quantities are adjusted to the actual quantities using the operating rate.
- In Cost Object Controlling, the basis of comparison is usually the yield. The planned quantities are adjusted to the actual quantities using the quotient Actual Quantity ÷ Planned Quantity.
On the input side, the target quantity is the target input quantity.
