Definition
Quantity to be compared with the target quantity in variance calculation on the cost center, business process, order, or cost object ID.
- In Overhead Cost Controlling, the control quantity is the quantity that was posted in your actuals. If actual costs are posted without specifying the quantity, the control quantity is zero.
- In Product Cost Controlling, the target cost version determines the following:
- Whether the actual input quantity or the planned input quantity of the preliminary order cost estimate is shown as the control quantity in the calculation of the variance categories on the input side.
- Whether the yield or the planned order quantity from the preliminary order cost estimate is displayed as the control quantity for the calculation of the variance categories on the output side.
An incomplete quantity is indicated as such by the system.
