Definition

This indicator specifies for the long-term planning area, whether

• no overlapping is allowed,
• whether planned orders may overlap in the future,
• or, whether the planning orders in the past can overlap

Use

In overlapping, the basic dates of the planned orders are calculated so that the in-house production time overlaps by a time that you specify.

Dependencies

For overlapping procedures, you must maintain the cycle time in the material master record (MRP1 screen). The cycle time defines the number of days that the planned orders overlap each other.
