Procedure
The currency in this field does not affect account-based Profitability Analysis.
If you use costing-based Profitability Analysis, observe the following when you change the operating concern currency:
If no data has yet been posted to the operating concern, you can change the currency.
If data has been posted, changing the currency means that all new data will be posted using the new currency. In addition, the old data will be interpreted as if posted in the new currency.
The change will not lead to problems if you are merely renaming the currency, which would not lead to exchange rate differences.

Procedure
These settings are not relevant for account-based Profitability Analysis.
It is possible to deactivate the data update in a second currency. However, note that
- it is then no longer possible to execute a report in that currency
- plan versions that use this currency can no longer be used
You can activate the data update in a second currency at any time. However, this has no affect on data that has already been posted. That data is only available in the operating concern currency.
Storing the data in a second currency multiplies your data volume.
