Definition

Gives the takt for the line segment, on which the material comes onto the production line.

Use

You can define entry and exit takts if you insert takt-based scheduling in discrete manufacturing. You enter this takt if you want to produce materials on a production line that do not need to be processed in all takts (processing stations). You can enter a buffered section for each entry takt where the material comes onto the production line and an exit takt where the material leaves it.

Dependencies

Sequencing does not consider entry and exit takts in scheduling. Here, a material goes through all takts in the production line.
