Documentation
Definition
A correspondence activity consists of pairs of letters and recipients.
For each letter in a correspondence activity you determine the role categories and role types of partners who are to receive the letter and the object type (application) to which they belong.
You can also specify additional parameters (for example, parameters for output control).
Only letters based on a common data pool can be used in a given correspondence activity. Different programs may use different data pools. For this reason, the correspondence activity used in a program may only contain letters based on this data pool.
For more information about the available data, see the documentation for the report you are using.

Use
When you print invoices, the correspondence activity only selects the letter (as opposed to the usual procedure). Any role categories or role types assigned in Customizing are not taken into consideration. Only the existence of an item to be invoiced determines whether a partner (customer) receives a letter, and which partner is relevant.
A correspondence activity for printing invoices must have one letter assignment.
