Definition

Since there is limited number of decimal numbers allowed to be stored in the system, we often need to multiply an extremely small exchange rate with an exchange rate factor

factor so that we can store the significant numbers correctly in the database. At the same time, the factor is stored next to the significant numbers so that we can recover the exchange rate later.

For funding currency exchange rate, exchange rate factor is calculated from the following formula and the result is usually (but not necessary) a multiple of 10:
exchange rate factor = local currency factor / funding currency factor

And, the current field is refering to the local currency factor.
