Challan number of TDS payment
Use
This is used in two places
- Challan Update ( after account clear )
At this point of time a dummy challan number is used for recording the challan update for internal use .
- Challan Update ( after Challan Number is obtained from bank )
Once the tax amount is remitted to the bank / treasury ,a challan number is issued by the authorities . This information is to be furnished in the TDS certificates and annual return.
