Definition
The assignment type characterizes service assignments of the same type. An assignment type essentially concerns service groups or service conversions.
By using different assignment types you can distinguish between various types of service assignments. The assignment types available in your institution are defined in a table.

Use
The assignment type entered here the service conversion table (NTPZ) is read and the services are converted from the source service catalog to the target service catalog.
Procedure
Please enter the assignment type here (important: conversion type) for which the services conversion from the source service catalog to the specified target catalog are set. If the source catalog (in-house service catalog) and target catalog (billing catalog) are identical, you do not have to enter an assignment type because services are not converted.

Use
You can assign dynamic service groups to different application areas with the assignment type.
Only assignment types of type grouping can be used for dynamic service groups.
