Definition

As a rule each country determines by law specific income tax allowances for different countries. Consequently, the reimbursement rates for transportation costs, accommodations and meals for the different countries must be stored in the system.

The travel expense module gives you the option to further differentiate the reimbursement rates for different countries by means of the
region key.

Reimbursement rates are thus stored in the system using the country travel key, which combines the country key and the region key.

Example
The government (or the company) has introduced city per diems for certain countries: in Paris, France, the income tax-exempt (or
company-specific) per diem for meals is higher than in the rest of France.
The country key for France can be further determined using the region keys for Paris and for the rest of the country. Therefore there are country travel keys Paris/France and France.
