Definition

Defines whether elements in the overview tree that have the same value in a certain field (for example, a red traffic light) should be grouped accordingly and then arranged in a hierarchy.

Dependencies

You can group/sort independently in the following applications:

• MRP list operational planning
• MRP list long-term planning
• Stock/requirements list operational planning
• Stock/requirements list long-term planning

Example

You want to sort as follows:
Field Priority (sort)
Planning plant 1
Material type 2
ABC indicator 3
You want to group by material type within the sort.

You cannot set the indicator for the group just for the material type in this sort. You must either group by planning plant as well, or change the sort so that the material type has the highest priority within the sort.

The correct setting is:
Field Group Priority (sort)
Planning plant x 1
Material type x 2
ABC indicator 3

or:
Field Group Priority (sort)
Material type x 1
Planning plant 2
ABC indicator 3
