In this field you specify how a particular target element or the component of a target element should be supplied with a value at runtime.

You can use the following types of data source:

• Elements of the source container
• Attributes of elements of the source container (transitive also)
• Constants
• System fields
• Initial value (suitable type)

Always use F4 Help for filling this value. You should only enter the value INITIAL when you explicitly want to use the initial value as the source.

You should note that you can only supply fields and structures up to a length of 100 characters with contants or an initial value. You can supply longer structures with constants or an initial value by component.
