Use

Number indicating which error exists concerning assignment:

  • Inconsistent basic data.

    The company code and controlling area data do not match in at least one of the following areas:

    • Currency (if no variant company code currency is allowed)
    • Chart of accounts
    • Assignment control indicator
    • Number of posting periods (defined in the fiscal year variant)

      This error also occurs if the total number of periods (number of posting periods and special periods) in the company code or controlling area exceeds the maximum permitted.

  • The company code does not exist
  • The controlling area does not exist
  • Both the company code and the controlling area do not exist
  • The company code data is incorrect.

  • Possible reasons for the error:

    • The currency, chart of accounts, or fiscal year variant are not maintained in the company code, and you already maintained the basic data in the corresponding controlling area.
    • The number of periods (posting periods + special periods) in the company code is larger than permitted.
    • The currency, chart of accounts, or number of posting periods defined in the company code are not the same as those defined in the corresponding controlling area.
