Documentation
Definition
The plan period indicator lets you set a date that you want to use to access a material cost estimate in Product Cost Planning.
The plan period indicator can have the following values:
'0' for the "future standard cost estimate"
'1' for the "current standard cost estimate"
'2' for the "past standard cost estimate"
When you define your costing keys, you can enter either a costing date, a period, or a value for the plan period indicator.
If the plan period indicator is blank, the system always looks for the cost estimate using the first day of the period for which the future, current or past standard cost estimate is valid according to the costing segment of the relevant material master record.
You can check this bydisplaying the costing segment of the material master.
