Definition

Determines how the cutoff period for WIP calculation and results analysis is determined.

You have the following options:

  • The cutoff period is the cutoff period specified in the results analysis version.

(See also: Define Results Analysis Versions)

  • The cutoff period is the period preceding the results analysis period.
  • In planned results analysis, the cutoff period is the same as the cutoff period of the results analysis version; in actual results analysis, the cutoff period is the period preceding the results analysis period.

Use

Results analysis and WIP calculation are performed by period.

Some results analysis data is based on the entire life of the object of results analysis or WIP calculation. The results analysis data (such as the work in process) can only be passed on when you settle to Financial Accounting.

In the following period, you define a cutoff period to prevent this data from being overwritten the next time you calculate WIP or perform results analysis. The cutoff period is normally the period preceding the results analysis period. Starting with Release 2.2 you can specify the cutoff period separately for each results analysis version in the application.

Procedure

  • Enter T if you want to use the cutoff period specified in the results analysis version.
  • Enter D if you want the cutoff period to always be the period preceding the results analysis period.
  • Enter E if you want planned results analysis to use the cutoff period of the results analysis version, and actual results analysis to use the period preceding the results analysis period.
